Gateshead FC claim their fifth straight Vanarama National League win with a 1-0 triumph over Dagenham & Redbridge at the International Stadium, last Saturday.
A close-range strike from Danny Johnson was enough to see off the East London outfit and gain Gateshead their fifth successive league victory.
The Heed now sit just two points away from play-off positions after a dominative display in which they were unlucky not to have scored more.
The Daggers, who have been in poor form in recent weeks, looked nervy from the get go and seemed only too happy to sit back and soak up pressure from a determined Gateshead.
But The Heed won’t be too concerned that they weren’t unable to put the cherry on top of such a strong performance and the team was met with rapturous applause and approval from the home crowd as the referee blew the whistle for full-time at 1-0.
